2019 Annual Training Mt Stirling – POSTPONED

BSAR’s annual training this year was to be held at Mt Stirling on 10-11 August but has been postponed due to extreme weather forecast.

This training will be rescheduled in Spring.

Using Bothy during BSAR alpine training

The training will include:

  • search and rescue exercises on snow shoes or skis
  • snow camping
  • snow safety
  • ski skills (for those on skis)

This training is for:

  • All current BSAR members to refresh skills in alpine environments
  • Prospective members – experienced bushwalkers interesting in joining BSAR who meet or are close to meeting the requirements for BSAR membership (register via your Club BSAR Delegate)

Transport and registration details will be advised via email. A detailed program will be provided to all registered participants.
