Bush Search and Rescue is a community service provided by bushwalking peak body, Bushwalking Victoria. All BSAR members are volunteers, giving up their time and using personal equipment to assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations.
Principal funding is provided by bushwalkers of Victoria through Bushwalking Victoria. Assistance is received from the Department of Justice Victorian Emergency Services Equipment Program. Transport and training assistance are provided by Victoria Police. A phone account is provided by Telstra.
From time to time donors are kind enough to assist. They include bushwalking clubs and other organisations as well as the families, friends and colleagues of people we have helped. Their generosity is deeply appreciated.
Bushwalking Victoria and BSAR wish to express their gratitude to all funders and donors.
